Dance to Your Own Tune

Here is another wonderful digital image called Tunes from Saturated Canary's New Year's 2015 Special Bundle

I colored him with Copics and used some digital papers from Grepic (Etsy) with a burlap look.  I punched some banner flags in coordinating papers and popped them up on dimensionals.

Here's a close up ...

Shine Bright Like a Diamond

Gorgeous new Saturated Canary image just released called Daydreams, and can be found in the New Year's 2015 Special Bundle.

I colored her with Copics and used Stampin Up's Pretty in Pink and Rose Red cardstock.  The papers are digital, not sure at the moment who from.  Dies are from La La Land (heart corner) and spellbinders (label, I cut the one end off to simulate a bell pull).  Sentiment is computer generated.

Here's a close up of the image ... Isn't she beautiful?

Happy New Year

Today's challenge over at The Outlawz' Saturday Paper ala Mode is to create something new ... New baby ... New home ... Or new year.  The sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies.

I chose the Vintage Boa image from A Day For Daisies ... Doesn't she look like she's ready for a night on the town?

I colored her with Copics and then added some pretty in pink ink around the edge before I removed the circle die.  Cardstock is black and Melon Mambo from Stampin' Up. The designer paper is actually digital papers from Bearly Mine Designs' Christmas Ice and Black and White Essentials.  I printed the pink first, then put back in to overlay the black flourishes.  I added some clear glitter gel pen to the black flourishes when card was done to give some added sparkle - same done to the pink of her dress.

Here's a close up of this timeless beauty.  I barely flicked the C1 and C00 for the outside edges of her fur and then went in with the colorless blender to lift off even more to make it look a bit fluffy.

Have a wonderful day!

The Outlawz Paper ala Mode Challenge: Blues/Greens

For this week's Paper ala Mode Challenge over at The Outlawz, the challenge was to use greens, blues and whites, with the sponsor being Scrapbook Stamp Society.

I chose to showcase Brooksie Book Nerd.

She was colored with Copics.  I added some Glossy Accents for her glasses and some clear gel pen for her ruffles to make them a bit sparkly.

Cardstock is Stampin' Up (celery/brocade blue); patterned papers are from Bearly Mine Designs' digital shop.  I think I used the Plaid, Light Christmas and Gingham sets.

Finished off with a corner heart die and a green grosgrain ribbon.

Here's a close-up ... Hope you like her ... Reading is a huge passion of mine, and I fell in love with this one.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Here is a stunning image from Ching-Chou Kuik ... Head over to her Etsy shop HERE to see all the stunning digital images that she has - You'll be sure to pick out a few for yourself!
As you can see, I made an easel card this time ... Love the different fold.  I need to do more out of the ordinary card styles.  I colored her with Copics.
Cardstock was from Stampin' Up (garden green and cherry cobbler).  The papers are from Bearly Mine Designs' Christmas Frolics (front) and Happy Hauntings (inside border) paper packs.

HURRY over to Bearly Mine Designs !!!

as they will be closing their doors due to the European VAT laws

I added some snowflakes and pine branches cut with my Silhouette Cameo and some dies from La La Land.  There are some green sparkly brads at the center of each of the snowflakes.

The sentiment is from an oldie but goodie Stampin' Up set, Seasons Greetings.

I put a couple of blank panels on the inside of the card for personal messages, using the green check paper from the BMD Happy Hauntings pack.

Here is a close up of the beautiful image ... Isn't she beautiful?

Lady in Red

Thanks for stopping by today for The Outlawz' Paper ala Mode challenge ....

Today, the theme was a Recipe challenge:
  • One Image
  • Two designer papers
  • Three buttons
This week, our sponsor is the fabulous Rick St. Dennis.  You can find his images in his Etsy shop or on Zibbit.

I chose the December Holly lady ... I adore his vintage ladies, especially the hat ones ... This beauty was colored with Copics.
This started off as a gatefold card, with one of the DP's on the front and a couple more on the inside (okay, I didn't stop at the two designer papers, lol).
The image was centered on the one side, and when closed, tucks underneath the sentiment panel.
Cardstock is from Stampin Up (cobbler and garden green)
Designer paper is from Bearly Mine Designs'
 Love Struck
Christmas Traditions
Christmas Traditions 2

I used the snowflake die from La La Land with some gold Stickles on some of the points before adding the maroon buttons with thread.  The sentiment is from Paper Trey.

Here is a close up of the image ... isn't she beautiful ... It wasn't hard at all to color this up - Rick does such a nice job on his image, it was a pleasure to play.

Hope you have a chance to go to The Outlawz and play in this challenge.

Also, remember that Bearly Mine Designs' is closing their doors after 12/31/14.
All digital paper packs are on sale for 50% off until they close.

Chin Chou Kuik Snowman

This is an image from Chin Chou Kuik, done for the Kit and Clowder Facebook Coloring challenge.

The image was colored with Copics.
Added some Stampendous Shabby Blue embossing enamel to the sky and some multiple colored Stickles for the trees.
DP is a freebie from Bearly Mine Designs
Dies are from Silhouette Cameo, as well as an EK Success border punch.
I added some diamond Stickles to the starbursts for more sparkle.

I need to keep better track, not sure where the digital sentiment is from.

Hope you like it.
Head over to Kit and Clowder's Facebook page to find out how you can get this beautiful free image ... as well as Chin Chou Kuik's Etsy shop - she has some BEAUTIFUL images over there.

The Reason for the Season

Absolutely love the simplicity of this beautiful image from Saturated Canary, The King

I actually had a few die cuts ready, but I opted for a simple card to remind us "the reason for the season" isn't in the excess of Christmas, and sometimes we need to scale back on life and remember what is important.

I used Garden Green and Chocolate Chip cardstock from Stampin' Up, along with some digital paper from Bearly Mine Designs' Christmas Frolics set, and then distressed them with Distress Vintage Photo ink.

The image was colored with Copics, and I air brushed the image panel around the edges for a glow.  The designer paper panel was punched with a Spellbinders Label die and popped up to create a shadow feel.

The sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy's digi Jesus is the Reason Christmas Sentiments.  I finished it simply with a couple of roses in natural colors to keep the card on the muted side.

Here's a close up of the image:

I'm submitting this card for the following challenge(s):
Southern Girls Challenge - Project celebrating - what better? The reason for this season.
Creative Knockouts - Tis the Season

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends.
Thanks for popping in.

Kisses Under the Mistletoe

Found another image by Krista Smith from Funky Kits' Sugar Nellie/Simply Sassy Line called Christmas Kisses ... and shocker - had to have it!
I colored this beauty with Copics and then added some glossy accents to the candy canes and tiny berries in her hair ...
The background paper is from Bearly Mine Designs, but I'm having trouble finding which paper pack they're in ... and the snowflakes and swirls were cut with the Silhouette Cameo.  I used Navy and border blue for cardstock.
The sentiment is from La La Lands' Digital images.

Just so you know, Bearly Mine Designs is closing shop after 12/31/14 because of European VAT tax laws that are going into effect.  Donna is offering ALL of her digital paper packs at 50% off until then ... so if you love digital papers, she's got a TON of paper packs that you can get for a near-steal!   Just click on the below and you'll see them all ...

Hope you enjoyed this one ... I love the way she turned out!

I'm entering this into the following challenge:
Milk Coffee's Non-Traditional Christmas color projects challenge

Christmas Wishes for Sweden

Okay, now that I know my swapper has received my holiday card, I can post it here.  Over at Kit and Clowder's Facebook page, many of us joined in a holiday card swap.  This is what I sent Asa over in Sweden:

The image is from Meljens, colored with Copics.  I made 5 different trees and colored each layer.  Putting it together, I put dimensionals under each branch to make it stick out.  Once it was all layered, I used liquid pearls for the garland and glossy accents for each of the lights and ornaments.  The pink pressie was also popped up one layer.

I used papers from Bearly Mine Designs' Christmas Traditions and Christmas Frolics and distressed the edges of everything.
The cardstock is Stampin Up's cherry cobbler.
The dies are from the Silhouette Cameo.
The sentiment is from Paper Trey sentiment package.

Here's a side view of the image to show you the dimension a little better.

Sorry I didn't keep track of the Copics I used for this one.

Hope you enjoy!
Have a wonderful day!
