Absolutely love the simplicity of this beautiful image from Saturated Canary, The King.
I actually had a few die cuts ready, but I opted for a simple card to remind us "the reason for the season" isn't in the excess of Christmas, and sometimes we need to scale back on life and remember what is important.
I used Garden Green and Chocolate Chip cardstock from Stampin' Up, along with some digital paper from Bearly Mine Designs' Christmas Frolics set, and then distressed them with Distress Vintage Photo ink.
The image was colored with Copics, and I air brushed the image panel around the edges for a glow. The designer paper panel was punched with a Spellbinders Label die and popped up to create a shadow feel.
The sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy's digi Jesus is the Reason Christmas Sentiments. I finished it simply with a couple of roses in natural colors to keep the card on the muted side.
Here's a close up of the image:
I'm submitting this card for the following challenge(s):
Southern Girls Challenge - Project celebrating - what better? The reason for this season.
Creative Knockouts - Tis the Season
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends.
Thanks for popping in.

Collette thus is divine and you are right in what you say about what Christmas actually is. I think there are too many people who think it is all about gifts and overindulgence. It really is a beautiful image so I think I may go get it for next year! X
I too love the simplicity of the image and I think your card shows it off perfectly. Thanks for joining us at Southern Girls.
What a lovely card, and what an adorable image. I love your coloring on the wood, it looks so real. Thanx so much for joining us at Creative Knockouts for our Ti The Season challenge. Merry Christmas. Joanne
