Little Red Wagon Challenge 287 "B"lieve It!

This week, over at Little Red Wagon, Jan gave us the challenge to "B"-lieve It! ... use things that start with "B" ...

I chose one of the Rick St. Dennis' Randi Dandi images, called Brigitte, from I Brake for Stamps and colored her with Copics.

My "B"'s include the beads and buds.  This is my first time using beads on a card, so be gentle, lol.  I made some swirls using Glossy Accents and then sprinkled some turquoise seed beads over the top.  After popping up the image panel with dimensionals, I tucked some rosebuds in.

Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Inspiration

Here's my Facebook Design Team inspiration for Ching Chou Kuik, using Sweet and Fragrant.  She was a dream to color, but then again, they ALL are.

I colored her with Copics and used a combination of designer paper and digital designer paper, although the flowers are covering up most of the digi paper.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid.  Lace is from Martha Stewart.  The gemstone in the center was in with the pack of flowers.

Happy Graduation, Meaghan!

I made this card for my niece who's graduating from college this week.  YAY!

I used one of Saturated Canary's digital images, Grad Girl 2012 (unfortunately, she's been retired) and colored her with Copics.

 

Just a couple of things added: paper doily, navy grosgrain ribbon and "Congrats" stamp (not sure who made it).

The Outlawz' Paper ala Mode challenge: Femme Fatale

This Saturday's challenge over at The Outlawz' Paper ala Mode challenge is "Femme Fatale" with Rick St. Dennis as our sponsor.

I chose this new image by Rick called Foscka ... Love how she turned out.  I wanted to keep most of the outside very faded and sepia inspired.

She was colored with Copics.  I used Stampin Up cardstock and some designer paper from my stash.  I then distressed the edges, then sponged the edges with Vintage Photo ink, then sewed the DP to the cardstock.  Finishing touches are some flowers from Wild Orchid that I also sponged with Vintage Photo, some brown pearls and a pretty satin brown ribbon.

Little Red Wagon - Challenge #286 - Seeing Spots

This week over at Little Red Wagon, Joanne has us seeing spots .... Spots, dots or blots.

(After watching the Blackhawks beat the Predators last night in triple overtime, until 1:15 am, I feel like I'm seeing spots this early!)

Anyway ... I chose this adorable ladybug image from Bugaboo called Ladybug Stack - Lots of Spots on these little critters.

 I colored this digital image with my Polychromos, then added Glossy accents to the spots, their noses and their antennae.  Then a little bit of diamond stickles for the flower bits.

Stampin Up cardstock in Saffron and Ballet blue with some digital paper with daisies on them.  Finished off with a strip of lace and a pretty saffron grosgrain knotted ribbon.

The Outlawz Paper ala Mode Some Old, Something New, Something Blue Challenge

This week over at The Outlawz' Paper ala Mode challenge, the theme is "Something Old, Something New, Something Blue", and our sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs.

Here is my design team inspiration piece: 

I chose to use the Aquarius Portrait image and colored her hair with blue green Copics.  The cardstock is from Stampin Up (tempting turquoise and pacific point).  I used some designer papers I've had for ages that look like water.  At the split, I added a sheer polka dot ribbon and some lace upside down (to simulate wave action).  I added a couple of dies in the same cardstock colors and some glossy accents to the image panel to simulate bubbles.

Little Red Wagon #285 Challenge - Travelogue

This week over at Little Red Wagon, Heather has challenged us to make a project with the theme "Travelogue" - make a project that is inspired by another country, whether it's where you've travelled or wish to travel in the future, or just are inspired by another country.

My first thought was Paris, I don't know why ... but I got this beautiful digital paper from Blossom Paper Art on Etsy.  That was my first step.  Usually I'll pick the image first and let it speak to me - this time, I went the other way around.  I chose this gorgeous image from A Day For Daisies called Tiny Fashionable Present (recognize the wrapping? I'm sure Paris has a Tiffany's, no?)

 

I colored her with Copics and used my handy dandy Creative Memories oval cutting system because the other oval dies just didn't fit her.  I sponged the edges of all the layers with SU's melon mambo and used melon mambo and saffron cardstock.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, as is the pretty oval beaded embellishment.  The center flower is from one of their build a flower kits.  I added some diamond Stickles to the brad and pushed down a pearl so the sparkle would show around the edges.  This beautiful satin polka dot ribbon finished off the card.

Tears in Wind by Ching Chou Kuik

Here is my Facebook DT inspiration piece for this week ...

She's called Tears in Wind, and can be found in Ching Chou Kuik's Etsy Shop.

I colored this beauty with Copics and used dark blue streaks for the background, then came in with a BG000 to fade and muddle the sky.

The DP's are a combination of digital and regular designer papers.  For the circled paper, I added some diamond Stickles to a few of the dots randomly, as I did for the 'pearls' in her hair.

I sponged the doily with some SU wisteria ink, as I did the edges of the DP and the image panel.

Finally, I added some pretty flowers and leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Ching Chou Kuik Facebook inspiration

Here is my Ching Chou Kuik Facebook DT inspiration piece for this week, using Purple Iris.

I love the color combination of purples and blue-greens/teals, so I kept her in purple and decorated all the rest with the blue-greens.  All papers are digital.  I added some diamond Stickles to the image and overlapping off the edge.  I sponged the edge of the purple circled ribbon with turquoise.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #284 - Spring is in the Air

It was my turn this week to host Little Red Wagon's challenge, and because it's finally starting to get warm out, I chose the theme "Spring is in the Air" ... My crocuses are already up and the stalks of my daffodils and tulips are sprouting up, so it's just a matter of time.

I chose a beautiful image drawn by Tiffany of Tiffany Doodles Stamps with Copics.

The cardstock is from Stampin Up (garden green and burgundy).  The designer paper is digital paper that I sponged the edges with burgundy ink.  I used a pretty set of dies from Elizabeth Craft design to punch the flower in the corner, keeping it a bit subtle.  The pretty lace is from a pack of Martha Stewart lace.

For the image panel, I also sponged the edge with burgundy and added some rhinestones to opposite corners, then used a slot punch to thread the pretty cream satin ribbon through.

Little Red Wagon Challenge 283 "Call the Vet"

This week over at Little Red Wagon, Susie's theme is "Call the Vet" ... use an animal or animal print.

 

I'm in need of an Easter card, so I used this Saturated Canary image (Easter Dress) that included a cute little bunny.  The image was colored with Copics.  I added some crocheted lace and yellow ribbon, then some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
