Fight Like a Girl, Lexie

This image is from Saturated Canary, called Ribbons.  It was being offered as a freebie if you're a member of the Saturated Canary Facebook page a while ago.  I colored the image with Copics and then sponged the edges with Potting Soil (Archival) and matted on chocolate from Stampin Up.

The designer papers are from Bearly Mine Designs, matted on kraft or chocolate.  The background is from the Gingham paper pack, but I can't seem to find where I got the one that looks like there's netting on it.The white doily was cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  Finishing touches include cream grosgrain ribbon, some brown half pearls and some paper flowers.

Eggstra Special for Emma

This image was too cute to pass up ... I have a god daughter who lives in town, yes, in a suburb, and yet they manage to have chickens on the property ... She's such an animal lover, I know she'll get a kick out of this lovely image from Saturated Canary called Egg-tra Special. 

 

She was colored with Copics and then I distressed the sides before sponging them with Archival Potting Soil.  I added an eyelet that I threaded some natural twine through.  The designer paper is from an old paper pack & I don't have the top to identify it.  I stamped it with a script, again with the Potting Soil before adding a little eyelet scalloped border.

Snowflake Fairy Wishes

This is a new digital image from Saturated Canary that I absolute adore ... I know, you're shocked, right, lol ... Love all things Saturated Canary right about now.  Krista Smith is an amazing artist and I absolute love coloring her images.

I colored this beauty with Copics (see colors below).  The papers are all from Bearly Mine Designs' Christmas Ice and Mini Dots.  Mats were Stampin' Up's bashful blue and pink pirouette.

 

I used my Silhouette Cameo to create the doily in the back and then sponged it with some bashful blue.  I used a Sizzix flourish die for the bottom flourishes.  When all was mounted, I added some Wink of Stella to this fairy's wings and then some diamond Stickles to the points of her snowflakes, as well as the flourishes and some more on the doily for a bit of sparkle.

I absolutely love the way she turned out ... Non-traditional Christmas colors, for sure, but then, this doesn't have a sentiment, so could be just a plain old Happy Winter card (even though I'm DREADING the coming of snow).

Wishing You Joy for the Holidays

Today's card uses a Rick St. Dennis digital image called Chester Elf. 

As a new member of The Outlawz' Saturday Paper ala Mode Design Team, this is my first card. 

 

Chester was printed on Cryogen Irridescent paper.  I then colored him with Copics.  All layers were sponged with Stampin Up's pacific point ink and the top two layered with SU's cobbler.  The designer paper is from Bearly Mine Design's Christmas Ice paper pack. 

I punched the corners of the bottom layer of designer paper to show the suede cardstock beneath.  The snowflakes and "joy" were cut with the Silhouette Cameo from cobbler and pacific point papers.  All were then painted with Wink of Stella clear.  You can't tell from the photo, but they're all sparkly.  I finished with some Glossy Accents on the hat's bell and the ornament.

I made this card for a young lady who is undergoing treatment for Pre B-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma.  Lexie and her mom just relocated to Cincinnati for her treatment regime last week, which will take several months. 

This weekend, Lexie is going to have her hair cut off in order to make a wig of her own hair.  She has such beautiful long hair now.  I made this card to remind her that this is just a temporary set-back, and her beautiful golden locks will grow back.

I colored this with Copics and layered with some Stampin Up cardstock and some Bearly Mine Designs designer paper.  The pink is from the Christmas Ice paper pack, and the floral is from their Floral Fantasy paper pack.

   I added a doily, and even went outside my comfort zone and 3D'd with the flowers, lol.

Joyous Christmas

Today's my turn for an Inspirational Post over at Bearly Mine Designs.  Bearly Mine has some absolutely gorgeous digital paper packs for almost any occasion.  Please take a look through the store and see what Donna has in stock.  Many of the paper packs have upwards of 25-40 pieces of digital paper in each pack.  You truly get your money's worth, and MORE!

This Inspirational Card was made using papers from the Bearly Mine Designs' Christmas Ice paper pack.  Here's a preview of the set I used:

I used the white on white holiday words for the background and the white on white snowflakes for the strips across.  I sponged the edges of each of these papers with Stampin' Up's Pool Party, and used the cardstock with the same name for the base, mats, and "Joy".

The image is a lovely one from Saturated Canary called Spritz.  He's such a darling little elf.  I kept his colors a little light for a different Christmas color combination.  He was colored with Copics and then cut out with a Nestabilities die.  Before removing from the die, I sponged inside the die to give it a faux frame look, again with Pool Party.  I finished off with a pretty white ribbon and the word "J-o-y".  I ended up using my Cricut because my Cameo is being stubborn and not 'connecting' ... need to figure out if it's the set up, the cord, or what ... It worked fine the other day, but now it's refusing to cooperate.

Are you on the "Good" list ?

Welcome to November, and Bearly Mine Design's challenge for this month is to create a Christmas inspired project.

Absolute LOVE all the papers that Bearly Mine Designs has, especially their Christmas paper collections.   Here's a preview of some of the new ones Donna's come up with.  Check them ALL out, though ... because ... They're all fabulous!!!

For this card, I used papers from the Christmas Traditions 2 pack.  This pack coordinates with the Christmas Traditions pack, so if you have one, you should have them both, lol.  I used my Nestabilties to cut out two papers and while still in the die, sponged around the edge in red.

This image is from Saturated Canary, called Molly the Elf ... Such a sweet thing.  I colored her with Copics (see list below).  After coloring her jacket, I used the colorless blender to draw lines to make her coat look like a plaid coat, to go with the red plaid paper.  I also added some shabby blue Frantage to simulate snow falling.  Finished off with some lace and some pretty pearls.

Last Halloween card for this season ...

This fun card was made using Zombie Philly from Saturated Canary ... I colored him with Copics.

Before my stinkin' Silhouette went on the fritz (after only 3 months of use), I cut this "BOO" from cardstock.  I also stamped the two bats in the upper corner.

Boo-Licious Halloween Wishes

Here is an adorable image, brought to you by the graces of Krista Smith of Saturated Canary ... This digital image is called Vampire Pumpkin.

I used Copics to color him, giving him a bit of BV/YG coloring ... It's a little more purple with green around the edges and eyes in real life.  I'm actually incredibly satisfied with the hair here ... Probably one of my best efforts with black hair.  The eyes are a little squirrely-blue/green because he's in a trance, don't you know, lol.

I used my Silhouette to cut out the web, "Boo" and the bats which came off a flourish design.  The background papers are from the ever wonderful Bearly Mine Designs - digital papers.  All three of the papers I used are from the Happy Hauntings set.  It's available at 50% off through 10/31/14, at which point it will be retired.
