I made this card for a young lady who is undergoing treatment for Pre B-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Lexie and her mom just relocated to Cincinnati for her treatment regime last week, which will take several months.
I've helped the family set up a blog: http://lettistrong.blogspot.com, if you'd like to read more about this young lady and her amazing family who has received more than their fair share of devastating health issues with their 5 girlies. There is a link in Lexie's blog to go to her Facebook page, as well as links for donations, sending cards, or signing up for meals for Amy and Lexie in Cincinnati or for Steve and the girls who stayed home.
This weekend, Lexie is going to have her hair cut off in order to make a wig of her own hair. She has such beautiful long hair now. I made this card to remind her that this is just a temporary set-back, and her beautiful golden locks will grow back.

I colored this with Copics and layered with some Stampin Up cardstock and some Bearly Mine Designs designer paper. The pink is from the Christmas Ice paper pack, and the floral is from their Floral Fantasy paper pack.
I added a doily, and even went outside my comfort zone and 3D'd with the flowers, lol.
And here's a closer look at the image ...
I hope you enjoyed it ...
Have a wonderful day ... and give your munchkin's a big hug!
