To Daddy from Home

These cards were made for a family who just sent their dad over to the Middle East ... Each of the cards was made for each of the 3 girls to send notes over to dad who will be there for several months.

This first one is a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Soldier Girl ... Since he's over in the Middle East, I colored the clothing in the sand colored uniforms, using Copics.  The cardstock was from Stampin' Up (Saffron and Night of Navy).  The designer paper is blue and natural burlap.  As I said, these are meant to be sent overseas, so I wanted to keep the bulk and layering on the simpler side, so I just finished off with a knot of grosgrain ribbon and a computer generated sentiment.

Copics used:
     Skin:  E04,11,21,00,000,R20
     Uniform:  E47,44,43,42,41,YG97,95,93
     Boots:  W7,5,3
This second card was made using a digital image from Saturated Canary called Dad 2014.  It's actually a "two/for" and includes a boy holding a different sign.  I used Stampin' Up cardstock (cherry cobbler & night of navy) as well as some more burlap paper, this time blue with white polka dots.  The image was colored with Copics as well, and I simply added another grosgrain knotted ribbon in the corner.

Copics used:
     Skin:  E04,11,21,00,000,R20
     Hair:  E09,YR18,14,21
     Ribbon:  B26,24,21
     Sign:  E44,43,42,40,R27,24,22
This third card was made using a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil again, this one called Rae with Journal.  She is actually part of a set called Dani and Friends.  This one is intended for the teenager to send, hence a little bit more sophistication.  She was also colored with Copics.  Papers used were Stampin' Up's bashful blue and night of navy with some lace textured paper and some denim paper.  Sentiment is also computer generated and I finished it with 3 heart brads.

Copics used:
     Skin:  E04,11,21,00,000,R20
     Hair:  H35,33,Y21
     Shirt:  B26,24,12
     Stone:  W5,3
     Skirt:  Y15,13,000, B24,12
     Boots:  E39,33,34,31,41

I think these turned out very nice, and I'm hoping that their dad enjoys receiving the personal notes from each of his girlies when they send them to him.

Thanks for stopping in ... Hope you have a wonderful day!
