Little Red Wagon You're a Star

This week over at Little Red Wagon, Carolyn is challenging us with the theme "You're a Star!".
http://lilredwagon.blogspot.com/

I chose this image from Ching Chou Kuik called Sinking Moon.
The image was colored with Copics, and I added some liquid pearls to her hair and some diamond Stickles for a few stars in the sky.
Since she's a mermaid, I used some digital water designer paper, and added a strip of 2 layered digi paper with burlap and overlay of stars.
The 3 stars are chipboard that I painted with metallic gold then stamped with a script image.

Here's a close up of the colored image.

I hope you like it, and have a chance to head over to Little Red Wagon and play along this week with the theme of using stars in some form or another.

Have a wonderful week!

Rick St. Dennis' Randi Dandi images

Love the way the hair turned out on this cute digital image called Astarra.  She is available in rubber or digital stamp at I Brake For Stamps.

She was colored with Copics and I used V04, BG04,BG02 for her hair.
Isn't it festive?

Here are some more of the Randi Dandi images all colored up ... Haven't put these on cards yet ....
Head over to I Brake For Stamps and look up Rick St. Dennis' stamps, rubber and digital ... lots of cute ones!

Little Red Wagon Challenge - Ribbon, Twine or String

This week over at Little Red Wagon, Tracy has us "All Tied Up" ... in other words, use ribbon, twine or bows on your projects ... As always, it's ANYTHING GOES otherwise.

I used this adorable image from Saturated Canary called Book Club, because I love to read, read, read.
I colored her with Copics.
The background paper is a script digital paper.
I used both twine wrapped around the layer, as well as a ribbon/bow.
Some pretty floral embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts to finish it off.

Here's a close up of the image:

Hope you have time to check out the Little Red Wagon's weekly challenge, using some Ribbon, twine or bows, as well as checking out all the other beautiful creations made by the Design Team.

All Dressed Up PurrFect Together

Here's a lovely image, PurrFect Together from All Dressed Up ... Check out the All Dressed Up blog to see what the other wonderful design team members came up with.

I colored the kittie with Copics and punched slots around the circle to tie knotted seam binding before heating it to make it curl.

I'm getting a little more bold with the flowers and dimensionals.  Hope you like it.

Head over to the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop to see lots of more lovelies!

Have a wonderful day!

Saturated Canary Color Challenge #2, ends 3/28

Krista Smith, master artiste and owner of Saturated Canary is having a new coloring challenge using one of two new images, Beach Ink or Beach Pretty ... AANNNDDDD of course I had to buy both of them.  There's a limit of two for this challenge.    NOTE:  This color challenge ENDS on 3/28/15 !!!

There will be four finalists chosen according to the challenge rules found on Saturated Canary Blog here, and they will be able to provide input to Krista on her designing of a new image - HOW FUN IS THAT?!

This is my second entry is using "Beach Ink"
I LOVE that she has dreads
She was also colored with Copics.  The DP is digi paper, matted with Stampin Up cardstock.  Cream crocheted lace with kiwi grosgrain ribbon used on the angled piece.
I used a butterfly die from Memory Box for the pop of a different color.
I have no idea where I got the "Hello" stamp from - it's a clear stamp sitting on a plastic page with a bunch of others, so I apologize for not being able to give credit.
I sponged the edges of all pieces with SU's Kiwi ink.

I love this one - she' so SASSY!

Hope you have a chance to play in the Saturated Canary color challenge, or at least give her Saturated Canary store a look-see - she's got some amazing images in there!  You'll become addicted in no time!

Have a wonderful day!

Saturated Canary Color Challenge #1 ends 3/28/15

Krista Smith, master artiste and owner of Saturated Canary is having a new coloring challenge using one of two new images, Beach Ink or Beach Pretty ... AANNNDDDD of course I had to buy both of them.  There's a limit of two for this challenge.    NOTE:  This color challenge ENDS on 3/28/15 !!!

There will be four finalists chosen according to the challenge rules found on Saturated Canary Blog here, and they will be able to provide input to Krista on her designing of a new image - HOW FUN IS THAT?!

My first one is the image "Beach Pretty" (see above for link to her image at Saturated Canary).
I colored her with Copics - keeping the suit a bright pink.
The DP is a digi paper I added some digital brush marks to.
The image has her towel hanging over the edge of the oval cut, and I used
my newest Spellbinders oval die behind her.  That lace is from a wedding store I got a while back - love it, so use it very sparingly.

Hope you have a chance to play in the Saturated Canary color challenge, or at least give her Saturated Canary store a look-see - she's got some amazing images in there!  You'll become addicted in no time!

I'm loving all of these new Beach Chiquita's ... Hoping to see a few more !
Hope you like what you see - Have a wonderful day!

Ching Chou Kuik/Kit and Clowder Altered Wings Challenge

This week, Kit and Clowder's Facebook Page and Ching Chou Kuik's Facebook Page have combined efforts for a magical coloring challenge.

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.653860284742244&type=1

I've noticed so much improvement on my coloring of both the hair and clothing in my images, thanks to Alyce and her Kit and Clowder Skin/Hair and Clothing classes.  They can be found here at Kit and Clowder
http://kitandclowder.ning.com/

I've also purchased the Perfecting Pencils class for colored pencils, but am still practicing.  I can't believe the gorgeous depth of color Alyce has achieved here in her sample using just pencils.  One day, I hope to be half as good.

For this Altered Wings challenge, I chose the Treasure in Hand image from Ching Chou Kuik's Etsy Store (because I love, love, love books and reading).

I printed the image 3 times and cut the 2nd and 3rd images wings off to alternate and layer them to create a 3D effect.  I also added a bit of diamond Stickles to the edges to give them the little extra 'pop'.

This one was colored with Copics.

Here's a close up of the image:

I hope you have a chance to check out the cross-challenges on the Facebook pages of Ching Chou Kuik and Kit and Clowder,  as well as the Kit and Clowder classes - there's technique classes as well as shorter fun project classes to choose from.

And DON'T FORGET to check out Ching Chou's Etsy Store.
She's offering a 20% discount at the moment using the discount code:
SPRING20

Have a wonderful day!

Design Team inspiration from Ching Chou Kuik

Here is my design team inspiration piece for this week over at Ching Chou Kuik's Facebook page.  I chose to use Once In a Blue Moon found in her Etsy shop.

Because the image was on the busy side with the forest behind her, I kept the layers a little simple.

Digital paper is of a starlit night sky.  I added some diamond Stickles to the ends of the beauty's wings for some added sparkle

Here's a close up of the image:

Hope you enjoy and have time to check out Ching Chou Kuik's Etsy store to see all the wonderful images she has, as well as check out her Facebook Page for ways to see some of these images in action.  There is also the Ching Chou Kuik Blog ... Lots of challenges going on between the Facebook page and the Blog, so have fun.

Have a wonderful day!

Cute, Cute, Cute over at Little Red Wagon

This week, over at Little Red Wagon, Jan's got us making something that's "Cute, Cute, Cute" this week ... well, I figured ALL of Mo's Digital Pencil images are cute, so I'd start there.

This is a digital image called Make a Wish, and I colored her with Copics.
I added some glossy accents to the heart on her shirt and some diamond Stickles to the dandelions for a bit of sparkle.
Papers are digital papers, and I finished off with a pretty heart die (also with Stickles accents), a pretty pink ribbon, and a cluster of flowers.

Here's a close up of the image.

What say you - is it cute?  Hope you have a chance to play and post something CUTE over at Little Red Wagon this week too!

Have a wonderful day!

Lovely Mo Manning images

Here are a couple of lovely Mo Manning Digital Pencil images I just made up this morning.

The first one is called Tiara, colored with Copics.

I used Digital papers and chalked a floral die before adding pearls.  Also added some Glossy Accents and diamond Stickles to sparkle her up.

Here's a close up of Tiara's image.

This second one is called Coffee.  She was also colored with Copics.

Digital paper used here.  I used a scalloped half circle die and some butterflies punched then sponged the edges with turquoise ink before adding some pearls.

Here's a close up of Coffee's image.

Hope you like them.
Thanks for popping by.
Hope you have  wonderful day!

Rick St. Dennis images colored up

Had a little bit of time to play today, so colored up a couple of Rick St. Dennis' digital images found in his Zibbet store.

This first one is and older one called Voo Doo Burlesque, and she was colored with Copics.  I added some glossy accents to some of the jewels and the pinheads on her voo doo doll.  Love how her eyes are a bit creepy orangey-yellow.

This second one is a new one called Barbette ... She was also colored with Copics.

Hope you like them, and have a chance to check out Rick's Zibbet Store or his Etsy Store for more images.

Have a wonderful day!

Get off the laptop!

This is another cute image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Danielle with Laptop

She was colored with Copics.
I realized that I needed to add to my stash of birthday cards, so added the
short but sweet sentiment.

Here's the colored image close up:

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Missing my Darling Daughter

This is a "just because" card for my darling daughter who I miss terribly!

The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil, and she's called Roxy.

I colored her in soft colors with Copics.
Hope she enjoys it, along with the homemade Chex mix I'm sending her.

Here's a close up of the image:

Have a great day!

All Things Rick St. Dennis

Okay, so I've been on a roll coloring all of these fabulous Rick St. Dennis images.  I'm printing them out 5.5 x 8.5 inches and I think I may put them in a journal, I'm not sure, but I know I love coloring them up - ESPECIALLY his hat ladies and Victorian/Fancy ladies ... You can fine Rick's digital images on his Zibbet shop or his Etsy shop.
